Under the agreement, the two sides will collaborate in researching, developing, and applying new technologies in the fields of refining and petrochemicals, chemicals, advanced materials, clean energy, and renewable energy. BSR and UTE will jointly implement scientific and technological projects aligned with the Company’s production and business needs, while also promoting innovation, technology transfer, and commercialization of research outcomes.

In the field of training, both sides will cooperate to develop technical, technological, management, and innovation-related human resources; organize training courses and specialized workshops; and create opportunities for students and graduate learners to participate in internships, production field trips, and research activities at BSR.

This cooperation also opens opportunities for experts from both sides to participate in and contribute to scientific and technological tasks and initiatives, peer reviews, and academic activities such as scientific conferences, presentations, and publications in national and international journals - on a voluntary basis and in compliance with each organization’s regulations. In addition, part of this cooperation will focus on exploring the feasibility of financial support or scholarship programs for students, with priority recruitment for those who meet BSR’s requirements.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the BSR Board of Directors, briefed UTE on BSR’s role in ensuring national energy security, as well as the Company’s business performance, scientific research philosophy, and innovation-driven development orientation.

In the field of science and technology, BSR is actively implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. BSR is focusing on optimizing production and business operations; diversifying into cleaner and greener products; and accelerating digital transformation to enhance management capability and operational efficiency. To realize these goals, BSR has recently signed several cooperation agreements with scientific and technological institutions and technical education units.
