Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR)**, formerly known as Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical One-Member Limited Liability Company, was established on May 9, 2008, under Decision No. 1018/QD-DKVN of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam). BSR is entrusted with the responsibility of receiving, managing, and operating the Dung Quat Refinery, playing a reopening role and laying the foundation for the development of Vietnam's petrochemical refining industry. It is also a training ground for high-quality human resources in this field.

Over 16 years of establishment, construction, and development, with the support of foreign experts, leadership at all levels, partners, customers, and the community, BSR employees have maximized their internal strengths, continuously promoting, learning, and accumulating experience to operate the Dung Quat Refinery safely, stably, and efficiently. BSR employees have mastered the technology and produce high-quality products that are trusted and highly valued by consumers.

With the motto "Integrity - Professionalism - Solidarity - Creativity - Efficiency," BSR has successfully completed the downstream link in the business operation chain of the oil and gas industry. It has maintained its pivotal position in Vietnam's petrochemical refining industry, with annual production meeting over 30% of the country's fuel demand, contributing to sociometric development and ensuring national energy security.

In 2025 - the year of “a breakthrough in investment and science and technology activities”, “innovation and digital transformation” and “the elevation of BSR culture”. BSR focuses on safely and stably operating the Dung Quat Refinery at an optimal capacity aligned with market demand and conditions. It continues to research, evaluate, and trial-process various intermediate and crude oil inputs to enhance flexibility in production. Promote development and collaborate with capable partners to create new products. Focus all resources on carrying out the Dung Quat Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project, as well as other investment projects. Complete the 2021–2025 five-year plan, the BSR Development Strategy to 2030 with a vision to 2045.

In the medium and long term, with the vision of “Becoming a leading enterprise in the region and establishing an international position in the energy and petrochemical refining sector” and the mission of “Providing high-quality petrochemical refining products, contributing to ensuring national energy security, and driving economic growth in the Central and Central Highlands regions,” BSR continues to grow in scale and operations, committing to its business philosophy under the motto: “BSR always accompanies shareholders, customers, and partners with sincerity and mutual value creation. ” BSR believes that meeting the needs of shareholders, customers, and partners forms the foundation of success in production and business.
