BSR Activates Innovative Thinking, Inspires Creative Action, and Shapes a Sustainable Future

Recently, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held the 2025 Conference on the Review of Corporate Culture Development. The event provided an opportunity for BSR to look back on a year marked by notable achievements and to demonstrate its determination for 2026, with a renewed mission of making corporate culture a key driving force for breakthrough growth.

Attending the conference were Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Head of the Steering Committee for the BSR Corporate Culture Project, along with members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, the Refinery Management Board, leaders of functional departments, and representatives of mass organizations. The conference also featured online participation from consulting partners of the PACE Institute of Management.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung, General Manager of the Human Resources Division, presented an overview of BSR’s corporate culture journey in 2025. This year was regarded as a pivotal milestone, during which the spirit of “One Team - One Goal” was no longer merely a slogan but truly became the guiding principle for all actions.

At the same time, BSR’s core values of “Integrity – Professionalism – Solidarity – Creativity – Efficiency” have been closely aligned with the action philosophy of the Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (Petrovietnam), permeating every work shift and every production unit of the refinery. In particular, lessons from the “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” program have been widely applied and transformed into direct productive capacity, contributing to BSR’s early completion of its business targets.

At BSR, corporate culture has been embedded in depth through specialized frameworks such as digital culture, business culture, safety culture, and learning culture. In parallel, the company organized 160 training programs with more than 14,500 staff participations, achieving 195% of the annual plan. The communications system in 2025 also recorded a remarkable transformation from “one-way information delivery” to “multi-dimensional dialogue.” With more than 270 in-house produced articles and a series of prestigious awards, including the Second Prize (overall) at the “Petrovietnam Imprints” contest, BSR has affirmed a strong and proud cultural identity within the Petrovietnam family.

From the perspective of the consulting unit, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Tuyen, an expert from the PACE Institute of Management, announced the results of the 2025 corporate culture survey, highlighting positive signals. Notably, 100% of BSR employees participated in the survey, reflecting a high level of engagement and responsibility toward the organization.

Ms. Tuyen commented: “The indicators of engagement, innovation mindset, and professionalism at BSR are all at very high levels. This demonstrates that culture has truly permeated every ‘cell’ of the enterprise. Where culture is strong, there are fewer procedures, yet efficiency remains optimal. BSR is on the right path toward a culture-driven governance model. To achieve this, leadership must continue to inspire, listen, and empathize more, turning culture into a solid foundation for development strategy.”

Conference delegates discuss and contribute opinions on corporate culture development in 2025 and orientations for 2026

In his directive remarks, Chairman of the Board of Directors Bui Ngoc Duong affirmed that after five years of persistence, BSR’s corporate culture has undergone a remarkable transformation. At BSR, culture is not only a “pillar” in strategy execution but also a “bonding agent” that shapes the collective strength and resilience of the BSR workforce.

He emphasized: “Building culture is a journey without an endpoint, starting from the leader and extending to every employee. Culture must inspire love and pride in each of us. In 2026 and the years ahead, BSR must remain steadfast in culture-based governance, so that culture truly becomes the guiding compass for all decisions.”

Chairman Bui Ngoc Duong called on every BSR employee to view culture as their own mission, jointly spreading positive values to build a BSR that is “Professional – Humanistic – Modern – and Distinctive.”
