On December 26th, at the Dung Quat Refinery, the Party Committee of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam Party Committee) and Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held a ceremony to announce and award decisions regarding personnel appointment at BSR.

Attending the ceremony were representatives from Quang Ngai province: Mr. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with leaders from provincial departments, agencies, and Binh Son district.

From the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), attendees included Mr. Le Manh Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of National-level State-owned Enterprises’s Group, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of PVN; Mr. Le Ngoc Son - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and General Director of PVN; Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of PVN. Also present were members of the Group's Board of Members, Board of Directors, and representatives from the Group's Trade Union, Veterans Association, and various departments.

At the ceremony, Mr. Phan Anh Minh - Member of the Party Executive Committee, Head of the Group's Human Resources Management Board, announced the Party Committee's decision to approve Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi's resignation as Secretary of the BSR Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term to focus on other tasks.

Following a review of personnel procedures and evaluation, the Party Committee of the Group issued a decision approving Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of BSR, to hold the position of Secretary of the BSR Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; and approved the addition of Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy CEO of BSR, to participate in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the BSR Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The BSR Board of Directors also passed a resolution formally electing Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of BSR, to hold the position of Chairman of the BSR Board of Directors; appointed Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - Deputy General Director of BSR, as CEO.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of the Group, Mr. Le Manh Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi for his outstanding contributions to BSR over the years. Mr. Le Manh Hung expressed his hope that Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi will continue to contribute to the company's success in his new role.

Mr. Le Manh Hung also congratulated Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong and Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang on being trusted and selected for their new appointments and congratulated the leadership team and all BSR employees for selecting qualified, professional, and experienced personnel in the refining and petrochemical sector to take on the positions of the new Chairman of the Board of Directors and new CEO of BSR.
