BSR and PLC Sign Cooperation Agreement Towards Sustainable Development
On August 26, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) and Petrolimex Petrochemical Corporation (PLC) signed a cooperation agreement to concretize the collaboration program between the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam) and Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex). This agreement marks an important milestone, opening up opportunities for extensive cooperation in petrochemical trading, supply, and technical services between the two companies.

Under the agreement, the cooperation focuses on strengthening coordination in the supply of petrochemical products, chemicals, and technical services. Both sides will also collaborate in product research and development, co-production of new petrochemical products, and joint utilization of infrastructure systems, leveraging each party’s capabilities and strengths.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Do Huu Tao - Chairman of the Board of Directors of PLC affirmed that the cooperation agreement is a significant step forward in elevating the relationship between BSR and PLC to a new level, creating a foundation for many potential future collaborations. He emphasized that by working together and leveraging each party’s strengths, the two sides not only aim for comprehensive and sustainable development, but also contribute to realizing the Government’s policy of “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods.”

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang – Member of the Board of Directors, President & CEO of BSR, stressed that the agreement is not only a commitment to cooperation, but also a milestone affirming the spirit of partnership and development based on mutual benefit. He noted that BSR’s ecosystem currently includes refining, petrochemical, and biofuel operations. The company is gradually transitioning towards green energy, chemicals, and products that serve the country’s sustainable development. To realize this strategy, BSR requires the companionship of partners, including PLC, to jointly share experience, conduct research, and develop new products.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang also proposed that both sides soon detail the signed agreement, assign clear responsibilities to relevant departments, and maintain regular communication channels to promptly address difficulties, ensuring that the agreement is effectively implemented in practice and delivers the highest outcomes.
