Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation has officially announced that, from May 10, 2026, it will officially operate under its new name: Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation, replacing the former name Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company. Its English trading name is Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation.

On May 8, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) announced the inclusion of BSR shares of Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation in the VN30 Index basket, effective from May 13, 2026. The event marks a significant milestone in BSR’s development journey in the capital market after more than one year of listing on HoSE, while also reflecting the company’s scale and operational quality as recognized by the market.

BSR has announced its Q1 2026 financial results, reporting exceptionally impressive business performance. Consolidated revenue reached VND 46.462 trillion, with profit after-tax hitting VND 8.265 trillion - the highest level compared to the same period in previous years, significantly exceeding market expectations.

BSR, a subsidiary of Petrovietnam, continues to affirm its position as one of the key pillars of the national economy, contributing approximately 1.1% to Vietnam’s GDP in 2025. This figure not only reflects the Company’s large operational scale but also underscores its increasingly important role in ensuring energy security and macroeconomic stability.

To optimize production, enhance business efficiency, and support the maritime sector, BSR has intensified the production and sales of marine fuel oil (MFO).

On April 13, in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR), a subsidiary of Petrovietnam, successfully held its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting approved key resolutions, comprehensively reviewed business performance in 2025, and outlined strategic directions, key tasks, and solutions for 2026 and the coming period.
