In the context of slow global economic growth, sharply declining energy demand, and complex geopolitical tensions, the global oil refining industry faced significant challenges in 2024. Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) is no exception. However, instead of simply reacting to the situation, BSR took the chance to improve its internal strength, adjust its strategy flexibly, and gradually turn challenges into new opportunities for growth.

On April 21, 2025, the production counter at Dung Quat Refinery officially recorded a cumulative total of 100 million tons of finished products since the plant commenced commercial operations in 2009. This historic milestone marks a significant achievement in the sustained growth journey and demonstrates the long-term production capability and operational excellence of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) - the operator of Dung Quat Refinery for over 16 years.

On April 15, 2025, at Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR), the Steering Committee for the Dung Quat Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project convened a meeting to review the project’s implementation progress. Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong – Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSR, and Head of the Project Steering Committee – chaired the meeting.

As part of the National Research Program on ESG Commitment and Implementation and the “Top 100 Green Vietnam ESG Enterprises 2025”, Viet Research, in collaboration with the Finance and Investment Newspaper (under the Ministry of Finance), has announced the “Top 10 Green Vietnam ESG Enterprises 2025 – Energy and Oil & Gas Sector (ESG10 – 2025)”.

On April 4, 2025, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held a conference focused on enhancing security and safety measures for the Dung Quat Refinery. The objective of the conference was to comprehensively assess the refinery’s current security practices and propose effective solutions to ensure the continued safety and security of the facility in the future.
