Vietnam’s Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical JSC. signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) with leading US energy partners, in Washington, D.C on Wednesday, with the witness of Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung. 

BSR has officially launched its Sustainable Marine Fuel Oil (SMFO), marking a new milestone in its product diversification process while reaffirming its strong commitment to a green, sustainable development strategy and international integration.

In recent times, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) has actively implemented activities under the STEM Innovation Petrovietnam program. With a clear and well-structured implementation plan, 15 international-standard STEM classrooms sponsored by BSR across five provinces and cities will not only accompany the education sector in its digital transformation journey, but also contribute to nurturing knowledge, creativity, and technological thinking among Vietnam’s younger generations.

At the Dung Quat Refinery, the LCO-HDT unit is designed to remove sulfur and other impurities from LCO streams originating from the RFCC unit - an indispensable step in the production of commercial-grade diesel. However, Mr. Le Quoc Viet, Deputy Head of the Process Technology Department, Research and Development Division, identified the potential to adjust the operating mode of this unit to significantly reduce energy consumption while maintaining product quality.

Each year, the Laboratory of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) conducts hundreds of tests to control the quality of catalysts used in the “heart” of the Dung Quat Refinery - the RFCC unit. From an anomaly detected in arsenic (As) analysis results, BSR engineers independently researched and improved the testing method, corrected analytical errors, mastered the process, and helped the Refinery save more than VND 1 billion annually. This story goes beyond a technical initiative, reflecting the spirit of innovation, responsibility, and persistent creativity of BSR’s scientific workforce.

At 10:45 a.m. on December 23, 2025, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held a “Countdown to the 2025 Consolidated Revenue Target” ceremony, marking an impressive milestone: consolidated revenue reaching VND 140 trillion, with total product sales of 7,710,409 tons. This milestone is a significant achievement, recognizing the persistent efforts and strong determination of all BSR employees amid ongoing volatility in the energy market.
