During a recent working visit to China, a delegation from Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (BSR), led by President & CEO Nguyen Viet Thang, held talks with SDIC Biotech Investment Co., Ltd. (SDIC Biotech) to explore cooperation opportunities in fuel ethanol and green energy solutions.

From September 7–10, 2026, in Singapore, a delegation from the Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (PETROVIETNAM), led by Vice President Lê Xuân Huyên, attended the 42nd Asia Pacific Petroleum Conference (APPEC 2026). During the working visit, a delegation from Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (BSR) held a series of meetings with international partners, crude oil suppliers, and petroleum product providers to explore and diversify crude oil supply sources for the Dung Quat Refinery.

Faced with the paradox of flaring excess fuel gas while still burning fuel oil, BSR engineers developed a “dual-firing” innovation that has generated nearly VND 400 billion in economic benefits for the company.

Following the signing of the EPC Contract for the Dung Quat Refinery Upgrading and Expansion Project on July 9, 2026, between the Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (BSR) and the Chengda - BPE EPC Consortium, the parties have promptly undertaken a series of critical preparatory activities to ensure readiness for on-site implementation.

On August 10, Petrovietnam Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (BSR), a member company of Petrovietnam, held a workshop on EPC Contract Management for the Dung Quat Refinery Upgrading and Expansion Project. The workshop focused on updating participants on the latest legal regulations and sharing practical experience from major EPC projects in the refining and petrochemical industry.
